Nichole Sakellarion

 

 

Nichole C. Sakellarion is born and raised in Los Angeles and a proud product and professional of the Los Angeles Unified School District.  She has served LAUSD as a professional for 16 years at the elementary school level.  Nichole started as a Teacher, teaching every grade level, kindergarten through fifth grade, then becoming a Coordinator, Assistant Principal and Principal.  She has served as a mentor for many new teachers. Nichole had the great honor of receiving the 2015 LAUSD Hero in Education Award from LAUSD Board District 7. 

Ms. Sakellarion considers herself a lifelong learner, starting her education at the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree.  She continued at San Jose State to complete her Teaching Credential. She received her Masters in Education and Educational Administrative Credential from Concordia University. She then went on to complete the Principal’s Leadership Institute from the University of California Berkeley.  Nichole continues to attend professional growth opportunities from Columbia University Teachers College through The Urban Education Leaders Collaborative and The Reading and Writing Project.
