PTA

The Micheltorena PTA formed in 2007 and is part of the California and National PTA organizations.  The National PTA was founded in 1897, and prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education at the state and national level.

The Micheltorena PTA is comprised of parents, students, teachers and school administrators, and yearly dues are $7 per person. Membership dues go towards supporting school programs, such as field trips and school-wide educational events.

All are welcome to attend PTA association meetings, which occur on the second Thursday of November, January, March and May, at 8:15 am in the Parent Center. Meeting dates and times are posted in the school’s monthly calendar (which you can see here.)  Donuts and coffee will be served at the Association meetings!
