Friends of Micheltorena is a group of parents, community members and school administrators and was formed to raise money for a variety of school programs, and operates as a tax-exempt non-profit group as a project of Community Partners (www.communitypartners.org), a community-building organization based in Los Angeles.  Our projects in the past included raising money for the front yard playground and the school library.  This years fundraising projects will focus on garden projects at the school, including the creation of a reading garden for the new school library and a school / community garden in the front corner parking lot.
