Special Primary Election for the open LAUSD Board seat
On Tuesday March 5, 2019, there will be a special election for the school board representative for our neighborhood (District 5). Whoever is elected will fill the spot vacated by Ref Rodriguez in July 2018. If no one finishes with more than 50 percent of the vote, the city will hold a runoff election between the top two finishers on May 14.
The 10 candidates running for the school board seat are: Alison Bajracharya, Ana Cubas, Jackie Goldberg, Cynthia Gonzalez, Graciela Ortiz, Heather Repenning, Rocio Rivas, Chamba Sanchez, David Valdez and Nestor Enrique Valencia.
