I hope to have more specific information for you soon. In the meantime Mr. Hummer has posted, on his class page, some excellent suggestions for homework that are appropriate at any time of the year.

Your child was given a daily planner notebook during the first week of school. The planner should be going to school and coming home with them every day.  We try to get their homework assignment written in their planner every day.  I give homework for every weekday evening.
