We’re so happy to announce the return of classes in our wonderful outdoor classroom.
All classes will receive 6 weeks of interdisciplinary garden based education connected to the NGSS science standards. During the Fall semester, our 3rd-5th graders will be working in the garden. During the Spring semester our K-2nd graders will be working in the garden. These lessons will be taught by our Garden Ranger from Enrich LA. The ranger program encourages parents, teachers, students, and community involvement. Our Ranger will also blog about their work with our students weekly so parents can see what the school garden is up to and get involved! We also have a volunteer-based Parent Ranger, Lois Tryk, and our community garden coordinator, Leyna Lightman, to support engaging parents in our garden program.
Thank you for your contributions to FOM, which fund this program.
